Pulling Transfer case

    How hard is it to pull the Transfer case off the back of the trans? I figure Ill drop the rear drive shaft and check the rear diff. If it is a locker, could it be creating this. The single stick lever is sloppy as all get out, could it be getting between gears and locking?
    Any other ideas on what could be causing the binding?

    the sloppy part is prolly the linkage.. they have a way of getting abused.. Getting the t case off isn't hard, there is one bolt on the top of the case that is a PITA to get to but other than that it's pretty easy (assuming you have the big hole case)...
