Well I got to drive it for 10 plus miles just now. Much tighter supention now! In fact VERY tight and rough riding with no slop!! It rides like my 1 ton 1948 Power Wagon did and you better have you seat belt on when hitting any kind of bump with it. You can't go fast off road due to no real flex of the Rough Counry Lift Kit springs but that is OK I did not want to race it off road just drive it. I could be a lot softer tho for more confert and control on the bumps. I climbed a rock with it I test vehicals on and it went up no problem, the rock lifts 12 inches in 12 inches of travel or a 12/12 pitch. It could of went up a steeper one no problem I think. Backing down it was a different story could use some better brakes in reverse on steep hills! I can skid the stock 9 inch ones on level ground but it would have been better to gone backwards in gear, low range instead. Acceleration was great the 225 V6 is plenty of power. The tires break loose easy off road if you are not carfull. You can fish tail it easy if you punch it in a curve on the dirt. On the asphault I zipped right up to 70 mph with plenty of left over speed but did not feel confertable at 70MPH!! 55-60 is OK for me or slower. Very happy with the jeep it seems to be a great run around vehical, need to get used to the squirly steering due to the short wheel base and power. Seat belts are a must and I was wearing them might put a pad on the sholder belt to keep my collar bone from getting soar on the bumps! Get to put the new Dual Exsausts on in the morning looking forward to taking it to town for the first time. Guess the 3 weeks of working on it was worth the wait! Mark

Rough Country has a reputation for being stiff. Best thing you can do is flex the suspension alot... the more you fully flex it, the quicker it will soften up a bit. Of course, then there's the shocks for better ride quality... but we already covered that in another thread ;)
What air pressure are you running, what size tires? That can make a big difference in ride comfort and handling too...

Just lowerd them to 20 lbs to see and they road some what better. I have 10.50 X 31 X 15s on it. Not sure what others run but working on finding the right PSI for them. Did have 30 PSI and that was way to high for the weight. Mark

On my 33" MTR's I run 25 PSI. No abnormal wear noticed in three years. Also, don't overtighten the shackle bolts...

I read that some where here in the arcives. I used tork nuts and took them up till they were tight but you could turn the bolt by hand with the nut and bolt turning with a box wrench. Guess that is loose enough. You should have seen the old rear shackles, bolts and bushings not much left of them! Mark
