Hitch Platforms Turned Roll Cage Shelves

I've seen a few guys have turned hitch platforms into roll cage mounted shelves, I think it would be good to consolidate the pictures and bills of materials into one thread if you folks don't mind.

 

I just received the parts from Amazon today for my shelf/platform. Lots of measuring and searching for the platform that would fit between the rollbar struts and not be past the tailgate.

I did this a couple years ago.
Started with this from Harbor freight:

cut off the hitch part.
