Like it. Probably a close ratio T18 but considering the twin stick mod, maybe a wide ratio granny low T18 is in there. Oh well. No more jeeps needed here. Good luck somebody.

Looks surprisingly good for lacking serious rust, especially for where its located. 232 is not my favorite engine, but the 4spd is a bonus.
Price will likely go high because its on BAT.

My '75 258 had a wide ratio and 3.73 gears. It performed well with that set up. Never had a complaint with the gearing. Carburetor yes.
I am not sure how it was determined. Were they ordered that way or you just bought what was on the lot at the time. Purchased mine in 1978.

If you don’t follow BAT, the sale prices typically run on the high side. My observation of Willys/Old Jeep listings are the commenters are not generally very knowlegible, nor are the bidders. There are exceptions.
Decide on your max bid, and wait till the last 5 minutes. Once the auction reaches the last two minutes, the real bidding begins. You have 2 minutes to place a higher bid, which restarts the clock. Then another bid comes in, and so on…
When the 2 minute timer runs out with no further bids, the item is sold (provided there was no reserve, or reserve was met).
If you’re serious about bidding, watch an auction or two in the last minutes, which can go on for an hour, in 2 minute intervals.
You have a distinct advantage if the Jeep is near you. Most other bidders will have $1000-$2000 shipping charges (plus auction fees). I have been thinking about bidding on this one, but at $6000, I’m already out.

Buying a vehicle sight unseen (photos are nice but don't fully count) is RISKY business. I will never do it again. There can be so many surprises, of the bad kind, in store for you.
I know folks can be lucky, but just sharing my 2 cents.
Even though my CJ5 was 600 miles away, I looked at it and drove it before purchase. It had issues, but I knew what was in store for me.

My guess is its going a lot higher in the last few minute of the auction, because its on BAT.

I’m a bit surprised this CJ6 didn’t crack the $10,000 mark. It was a bargain compared to some of the recent CJs sold on that auction site.
