When you talk about lift kit are you talking about lifting the body or the suspension?

There are both kinds of kits. Most common I would say is the suspension lifts.

body lifts don't go well with early 5's due to the steering and pedals, unless ya change that too.. otherwise it's all suspension..

    Gregg,

I put a Superlift 2 1/2 lift kit on the '68. Like it real well. Allowes a little larger tire and, with the 4.88s, allows me to go anywhere. :D

Zed mine has a 2 1/2" lift kit and 31" tires on it, ask Patrick how high you can tilt one and still not roll over, he had a better view of mine at Tellico, but mine was tilted waaaaaaay over and still didn't roll and I had my wife and daughter along with me. Oh and just as a side note, the jeep was tilted so far over that the only thing that held me in the seat was pucker power.

Cornering, c'mon its a jeep, and as for body roll with the suspension, I would say you'll notice less with after market lifted springs than you will from stock springs.
