Has anyone any experience with 4wd hardwares new 2.5 inch lift? The new thing now adays is the teflon pads to reduce friction is the ride better? I already have a 2.5 inch lift not sure what brand it is because I've forgotten approx 10yrs old. I know that they are canadian steel, not the imported stuff.
    Any help would be appreciated

I am not familiar with 4WD's kit. I just installed the BDS 2.5" kit and I really like it. Rides very nice.

I was told at the time that ranchos were made with recycled steel from japan that tended to sag quickly....rumor? Again I was told that canadian steel was fresh from the ground and made on this continent.(This info was new 10 yrs ago when I put on this lift...I'm sure alot has changed since then). Ya know I really didn't think about candian being and import...but technically I guess it is. Nice point :)

That lift may be a Superlift. I just installed a 2.5" lift and the springs were made in Canada.

I have the 4wd 2.5" lift. Rides better than what was on there before, but not exactly like a TJ. I am happy with it.

FWIW I have the Skyjacker setup and have had it on there for 8 years now and I am very pleased with it, It does not have any anti friction pads but it has served me well. I do see some rigs with the "double military wrap" springs and they look very tough. I am always scared I am gonna pull a Jerry (sorry man had to do it) and bend a spring so the double military wraps look like they would help that area. I have Skyjacker on my XJ also and am very pleased with it, it has the pads you are referring to.

Put the 2-1/2" 4WD Hdwr springs on mine not too long ago. I'm happy with them. Yes, they have plastic anti-friction pads between the leaves.

They do say "Made in Canada". That works for me, I was too!
