I'm trying to get my jeep finished for the Big Bear run this w/e and I have every thing done with the installation of my D18 t-case modified with the twin stick setup. I have run into a problem with mounting the shifter bracket / rod for my warn overdrive. The bracket I have for the T-14 drops the od stick right where the twin stick bracket is. Is there another overdrive bracket to be used with the twin stick setup or does this bracket have to be modified? I have already installed the o/d unit so besides not having anything to shift it with, I shouldn't have any problems running like that until I solve the bracket delima, right?

just make sure that it is engaged fully, one way or the other, in or out.
your bracket should bolt to the trans top cover and thru 2 bolts, correct?

you "might" have to add spacers (stack of washers) under the bracket and on top of the trans cover to "raise" the bracket for clearance; you would also need 2 longer bolts for the trans top cover

I do have the bracket that uses the 2 right front bolts of the trans shifter top. I'm not sure about spacing the bracket up but I'll check it out. My overdrive stick pivot is towards the back (middle of trans) of the bracket. Seems to me if the pivot were positioned near the front right of the trans, there wouldn't be any problem. Might have to check with Herm.

    what's hitting?
the bottom of the shift lever on the trans/t-case?
the connecting rod from the lever to the od?
trickymickey has some of my od shift levers and rods

I used the original mount and modified it to work. Just cut the bracket in half and then flip the mount so it bolts onto the 2 rear bolts. Then weld the mounting stud portion back on.

I then modified the original linkage as well. Cut it shorted and smashed the cut end so I could pin it to the shifter. I also had to bend the shifter to clear the twinsticks once everything was mounted. It was not difficult to do.

    Here are some pics:

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'll go the cut & flip route with my bracket. I don't know why I couldn't see that solution this morning @ 1AM  .
Looks simple enough but I don't have time to do it b4 Big Bear. Least I know I have an easy fix when I get back.

    Thanks Again,
    Curt

    Hey Curt,

TrickyMickey has the same set-up too. He had to do some modification as well. He'll be at Big Bear so you can see for yourself.
