Frozen Headlight Switch

As I left home this morning. I went to pull the headlights on... nothing. the knob would not pull. 30min of idling and the engine is at 190°F. The heater is blowing and the switch is functional again. Now how to keep if from happening again?

Isopropyl alcohol lock spray thing (with graphite)
Wd40?

 

Either one sounds good...It's reassuring your heater works so well!
When it warms up outside, you might check to see if any water is leaking past the windshield frame and getting the switch wet.

 

Not much to them if you have to open it up and look inside.

Yeah, I'd hit it with some WD40 and roll..

 

Gasp!!

 

.....Silicone spray or Tri -Flow, neither will freeze up.
