Water Pump Weep Hole / F134

I occasionally get a couple drips of fluid from the weep hole of my water pump. The only reason I know its there is because the fan will blow it back and there will be a sprinkles of residue on the front of the oil bath and on the passenger side firewall.

Is this a sign of possible failure? or are occasional drips from the weep hole a normal thing? The pump has been on here at least 11 years that I'm aware of so its well beyond the break-in period haha.

It's failing.

 

X3, It's about to go. replace it before it get's you stranded somewhere inconvenient.

 

JB weld the hole and order a new one.

I'll add it to my shopping list. I actually really appreciate that this part is letting me know in advance that its going. So very considerate

 

Only good for those that pay attention.

 

A big benefit of doing your own work. Often can spot secondary unrelated problems before they cause unexpected breakdowns.
