Dauntless V6

Hello
Just picked one up to replace F134 on 1959 CJ6.
The block casting is 1381623. The only chart I have found combines it with 4 other casting numbers and only shows all are 1967-1974. Any way to narrow it down?
Will look for head casting in the light tomorrow.
Has point dist , Offenhauser intake, and a Holley 600 cfm, dual feed, double pumper , List 4776.

Look for stamping on flat area. Passenger side of block below front exhaust port.
Take a pic of that.

 

Thats WAY too much carb for a 225. If you want to run a 4V carb get a Holley 390, #8007 or 6299.

 

That carb would be a lot happier on a 350. The 4776 is a double pumper with end pivot bowls to boot. Those don't work worth a damn off road on any engine. And believe me, I tried for a few years. As per above, try to find a 390 to replace it. There are a few other small Holley 4150 carbs that will also work. I used one from a Rambler 250 engine that was about 450 cfm.
