Calling All T15 Masters

I just scored a t15 for my cj5 project yesterday. But just noticed I think I’m missing a part apon looking at an exploded diagram. The part in question is the only one not labeled what is it, do you need it, where can I get one? Any help will be appreciated! Here is the link to the exploded diagram

Bearing adapter which allows the rear bearing to fit into the 4” index bore of the transfer case,
You need Jeep part # 991074 or 8123033.

 

I would think you likely won't need it unless it is damaged some way but very unlikely. If you order a repair kit ask them what brand bearings they will have in the kit. I ordered a repair kit from novack and it had ''chino" brand ball bearings. Never heard of them so I got some timkins or sks bearngs.

 

By any chance is it a part I can rob from my t86aa?

 

No not the same the T86 nor T14 adapter rings

 

That part indexes the trans to the tcase and supports the rear bearing, you absolutely need it.

 

I was thinking he ask if his would need replaced during a rebuild. I was thinking it would not be a wear item. But I reread the original post and I see his is missing. So I stand corrected..

 

I appreciate all the information. I spoke with herm the over drive guy and he was able to get me that part. Also while talking to him he wanted my t86 so everything is gonna work out great! So far.
