WTB Clutch Bracket

    Looking for a clutch bracket that attaches to the transfer case of a dana 18. I am switching to a cable actuated clutch. I will add pictures of what I am looking for. Mine ia a 1971 cj5.

    You'll also need a way to hold the other end of the cable, that bracket is welded to the frame.

    Yes I am working with James to make sure I get the correct stuff. May have to fab the other little bracket. I will try and see if Boston Bob can help me out. What I currently have is really a pain in the Butt.

    The bracket on the pedal end can be easily fabbed from some angle iron. I made one for the 58 and bolted to frame. The D18 bracket is a bit trickier.

    Is it the tube and the two balls it rides on that goes between the frame and transfer case with two ears on it that the cable hooks to and the rod from the pedal

    No....I think you are describing the early set up with the torque tube, this is for the long cable found on 70-71 or so CJ.

    Be sure to get your cable from Inline Tube. You'll have to modify the pedal end , but they're much better quality than any other source.
