I thought the late ‘70s/early ‘80s rims were 6” wide, and have 4 hubcap nubs.

Yep afaik the 1972 onward standard wheel for all CJ’s was the KH 15”x 6”.
    Hard to describe but …
They have a unique look to them “IF” you know what your looking at.
Kind of a square looking pattern where the disk meets the rim if you know what I mean.
And yes they fit over the disk brakes.

Thanks, I was hopping that was the case. I have three of these wheels that measure 5 1/2" bead to bead with the square wheel center. I would be interested in two more wheels like this if I can get the caliper brackets to convert my 63 utility wagon.

How many hubcap “ nubs” do your rims have? I’ll guess three? If so, then from around ‘63/‘64 up to around ‘70/‘71 should match what you have. Some of the V6 rims around ‘67 to ‘69 had a different shape around the lock-ring where the lug holes are, but otherwise interchange.

These wheels have 4 nubs for hub caps. I may have found wheels from two different sources. Just need to confirm wheel profile matches for disc brake fit up.

Last week I found and bought a D27 closed knuckle axle with disc brakes after confirming that my 15" wheels fit.

The 4 nub wheels are from ‘72-up AMC Jeeps. There were at least two versions, both 6” wide. At least one version fits most disc brake applications. I was’t aware there were 5-1/2” 4 nub wheels, and these might not clear disc brakes.

    Hey Chris,
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but from what I understand these were OEM to my 72 CJ5. I have 5 of these and I was told (he said/she said) that factory rims on a CJ5 will not fit Disc Brakes. But these do have 4 nubs.
