For Sale 1973 Cj5 - Carson Valley, Nv - Sold

Clean mostly original '73 CJ5, 232 6 cyl, 3 speed, w. 3.73 axle ratio, $5000.

I bought the chrome wagon wheels and 31x10.50 15 BFG AT's about 10 years ago, the tires may have 20 miles on them.
They've been stored inside and look good.







I removed the body from the frame to patch a crack and replace the drivers floor board and I installed new rubber body mounts and hardware.

Brakes are new from the master cylinder to the shoes, all hard and rubber lines and hardware.
The drums were within spec and turned.

All three parking brake cables were replaced, the foot pedal doesn't hold due to worn teeth on the ratchet mechanism.

1 1/2" Rancho Freedom Rider springs, new Napa shocks.

New in the box tan denim Bestop Tiger top.

Roll bar needs painted and installed.

Turn signals don't work, I've gotten the switch to work, there is a problem with the bulbs and sockets.

Fuel gauge works, temp, oil pressure and amp gauge didn't work. I have brand new in the box Autometer voltage, and mechanical temp and oil pressure gauges.



There is a bearing noise from the transmission or clutch when engaging the clutch, whether it's the throw out bearing or the trans input I couldn't tell you. It runs and drives, I've been using it around my lot to move my cargo trailer and haul my weed sprayer.

Basically a work in progress, it's close to being done and on the road. I have other projects and a Wrangler with AC.

Mileage is unknown, the odometer reads 36,644, it may be 136,644. I believe most of the paint is original as well as the seats.
