Looking to sell my 1961 CJ-5 COVID build. Bought this as a stalled project. Was a complete engine and chassis along with a MD Juan body still in the crate. I have gone through every system and rebuilt or replaced just about everything. Powder coated chassis, all new steering, brakes, brake lines and hoses, new radiator hoses, belts, gaskets etc. Restored carb, electronic ignition, all new engine seals and gaskets, upgraded to alternator, complete new wiring harness, aluminum radiator, new clutch, resealed transmission and transfer case. Starts on first turn of the key and idles beautifully. Brand new tires on restored original wheels. Axles resealed front and rear. New spring shackles, bushings and shocks. Stainless steel fasteners everywhere and a full set of stainless bolts and washers for the dash, hood and floor panels to be installed after paint. Brand new aluminized exhaust system. Body is completely fitted to the chassis. I have the windshield and gasket but have not installed as I would like to paint the frame first. It is currently in e-coat and my next step is to take it apart for paint but I would rather sell it as is so the new owner can select the color and decide to what standard they want the final finish to be. The hood and fenders fit well enough for me currently but a perfectionist might want to spend the money to get the alignment perfect.
I probably have 15k in it and would like to get 11,500k for it. Probably the best stock CJ-5 you will find and no rust at all!
