found a construction site for a new middle school here that had some decent steep but short hills to try out low range.

man.. i forgot how wonderfull it feels to crawl up and over something that steep and rough like that with all that torque going to all four wheels. i knew i missed jeeping for a reason. it'll be nice to put it through a longer run eventually. new exhaust (single pipe) is nice and quiet too.

i think i'm eventuall gonna have to replace the springs. a lot more popping than i'd like when i'm turning. it will probably track better too. but i don't want any lift.

any one have any opinions of daystar heavy duty shackles? the stock shackles on my 69 look pretty fragile compared to the power steering and the 31"x10.5" tires.

Glad you got to go play.
Con Fer, Warrior or M.O.R.E. all make good shackles.
The more ones are 3/4" lift while the others are 1 1/2".
