line lock

    I am thinking of installing a brake line lock. Anyone have any experience with these? Any recommendations on brands?

    buddy of mine runs one and its my list of things to do. his works great. i would get the electric one verses the lever. cleaner look inside the jeep. dont have a brand though. i will see him this weekend and ask.

    They work great, but it's not a substitute for a mechanical parking brake. There are two types of hydraulic locks: The "line-lock" which keeps the brakes locked until you remove the 12v supply, and the "Mico" type which locks until you remove the 12v supply AND provid more hydraulic pressure than you used to set it. (you have to push on the brake again to unlock it.

    Both units work great for their intended uses, but they're not interchangeable. HTH.

    sparky, I am planning on heading down to Tuttle once I get my longer brake lines on. I still have the stock length and they are a little tight. I had some friends call me over the weekend from there letting me know how much fun they were having.

    BTW if the flair nuts are rounded off on my lines, what is the best way to get them off? Should I just get hard line and redo everything?

    Best thing IMO, get new brake lines and take the old ones off with vice grips.

    I ran the Hurst roll control.
    I've only used them on the front though. Makes for great burnouts. ;)
