    Hi all,

I have a mutt of a 1974 CJ-5. I had an opportunity to weigh it last week and minus the weight of the driver/passenger, it was 3,020 pounds. It has a 360/T15/D20. I was curious since there are several variables making comparison to "stock" difficult. I had always sorta guessed around 2,700 - 2,800 lbs. based on what I'd read stock curb weight was. Some of the weight impacting things are listed below.

    Winch/mount - 115 pounds
No carpet or other floor covering (just floor mats)
76+ tub with reconstructed floors (heavy gauge sheet metal) and probably some Bondo
No factory HVAC box or parts - Summit racecar heater installed.
No factory under seat toolbox - replaced with heavy plastic box chained to seat frame (full w/tools)
Modified stock seat brackets and high-back buckets. Folding rear seat.
    33x12.5x15 on wide aluminum slots
Bestop hardware/frame w/bikini top only at time of weigh in
    Manual brakes & manual steering
No wiper motor or hardware (one of these days I'll put that stuff back on)
Random crap stuffed behind/under the rear seat (blankets, camp chairs, sweatshirts, tow rope, etc.)
    Full tank of fuel

I don't have a point or a question - just thought I'd share a real world weight example.

Good info and nice Jeep! Pic saved. Liking the coolant overflow tank.
