Herm The Od Guy, Hope Others Are Not Having Issues Like I Am

No offense intended, just saying that taking it to the last step of requesting a refund would be my course. If I got my money back, then great, done.
But if after 30 days I didn't, Id follow up with the atty gen with a request to reopen the complaint.
At this point it looks like you have an unusable part; so what's the difference?

 

Here's the thing about Herm. He is not honest when he gives you ETAs, plain and simple. Herm is in business with Kaiser Willys and other vendors, and he will ALWAYS prioritize those B2B accounts; he does not operate on a first come first serve basis.

Herm operates in a pre-Amazon world where 2-day shipping doesn't exist. Just speculation, but there are laws protecting consumers to have their goods in a timely fashion, and it is much easier to prove a violation of those laws with credit card receipts. In fact, my guess is that the way he runs his business, he'd have so many customers filing fraud disputes through their credit card that he'd get in some legal trouble (he may already have and can't get credit card payments anymore).

The guy needs an office manager and he needs staff. The excuses are tired. I once called about an overdrive and he said 'If the phone stops ringing, I'll get to it!' Well, maybe the phone is always ringing because you're 6 months behind, and if you could stay on schedule it'd stop. But he just doesn't see it that way and he won't change. He never has any time to do the work he said he'd do, but you'd better believe he makes a trip to the bank every single day to cash those checks.

I will only buy parts anymore that don't need Herm to do anything but ship them. Some of his parts are just better than the Omix Ada stuff other vendors carry.
