i know it's on here somewhere. i have a 64 cj5 F134, t90 trans. i installed the drum transmission brake on it a few years ago with the left hand ratchet handle mechanism. it works fine but i really wish i had a foot pedal/release instead. surely someone here has modded this?

The intermediate (AMC) Jeeps used a foot actuated parking brake. The body tubs are very similar, so the mechanism would likely interchange easily. These later models had the parking brake actuate the rear axle drums rather than the transfer case drum, so I don’t know if the “throw” of the mechanism is compatible the T/C drum.
I have had both early and AMC Jeeps over the years, and much prefer the pull lever under the dash to a foot pedal. If nothing else, you can control the actuation of the parking brake while maneuvering in tight spaces. With the foot pedal, the brake is either off or on.

If the current system works fine, I'm not sure that the cost of the foot pedal is worth any improvement in function. They can be pricey.
