Vacuum Advance Failed.

    I recently picked up a 64 with the Dauntless. Off idle it would stumble and just not pull throughout the rpm range.

    I found the advance to be pretty far off and the idle to be set a bit high. Reset both but still had a bad stumble off idle. Checking the vacuum advance it would not hold any vacuum at all.

    The carb is an eBay Chevy v6 carb the po put on. Looks brand new. After setting timing, resetting the carb, adjusting timing again and then installing the new vacuum advance it runs night and day better. IMG_2703.jpeg 70750675434__B24081EA-C42C-4037-B26C-784966159CDE.jpeg

    Yeah that Vacuum Advance can looks a bit crusty, probably several decades old. Parts working as they are supposed to does make a big difference.
