Right Rear Tire Mount, The Right Stuff?

Thanks for the help. It's a little closer than suggested, tire to body. I will find some place and flex it to see if it is OK. Closer the better as far as the weight. If it gets to moving around I will do more gusseting than stock (or maybe the bolt through above).

Yeah, I like the tires too.

I really like the look of a side mounted spare, and have one on my CJ5, which isn't going to be a trail Jeep. For a Jeep that is used for trails they become just another thing to snag up.

 

I have a YJ on tons and 40s I wheel (might be giving that up soon as I look to retire). This has a plow, a winch soon & maybe a rear locker at some point (LSD now). This is for light wheeling and driving around. The tires are Amazon specials, like $420 a set. I like them enough I bought a matching spare. Kind of need it with the LSD. I'll do a 5 tire rotation which should make them last a while.

That's them! sidewalls felt pretty good. I have had them up to 65 mph or so. Not a ton of weights to balance. I couldn't get a MT in that size from anyone local. Can't beat the price.
