    I have a Carter WO carb that was given to me it is been overhauled. My question is will it bolt up on my M38A1 Fhead engine.

    Nope, a Carter WO has a smaller flange than the YF which fits the F-Head.

    And good ones are getting scarce, so you can probably sell that one in the classifieds for enough to buy, or possibly trade for a YF that will fit your F-head engine.

    Just to add a bit of info, the YF base for a Flathead 226 is bigger (too big) than the one for an F-head.
