Ford Dual Piston Caliper Conversion

Howdy Folks,
Has anybody converted a D-44 to accept late model Ford Super Duty dual piston calipers/rotors? Both front and rear, preferably maintaining 5 x 5 1/2" lug pattern. Could go full floating conversion on rear axle and lug pattern change if required.

I don't have personal experience with D-44 conversions with the latest model Ford Super Duty dual-piston calipers/discs, but I can share some information I've found. First, there is a company called Teraflex that offers brake system upgrade kits for Jeep with D-44s. Their upgrade kits include dual-piston calipers/discs, mounting adapters, and all the necessary fasteners. However, it appears that these kits do not include keeping the 5 x 5 1/2 inch ground track pattern. Another company that can help with brake system conversions is called Dynatrac. They make reinforced axles and brake system upgrade kits for a variety of vehicle types, including Jeep with D-44s. They also offer dual-piston calipers/discs, but I'm not sure if they retain the grouser pattern.

 

Wouldn't that be way overkill on a CJ?

 

What I was thinking too. Might have problems with wheel fitment.
