OK, it's running again, and no leaks! :flag: What would be a good starting price ya think?
All that's going with it is the engine itself, no pully's, no radiator, no upper/lower radiator hoses, no bell housing, etc. The distributor/wires, carb go with it.

Yay... Sounds good and looks good. Especially liked the end of the video...(y).
Gee...I don't have any idea on the starting price. Whatever the market will bare I suppose
and consider what you have in to it.

I'm going to start at 1300 and see what happens. I'd probably break even at 800, labor is free of course;)

I might be getting carried away~ but's ok to dream;) There's quite a lot of aftermarket "upgrade" parts for the 6. I'm not doing a full blown engine, but I would like the engine to look nice.

That engine produces 95 horsepower as you probably know. Some early 225's went to 145 horsepower all depending on whether
or it was figured in gross or net. Are you planning on doing a refresh of this?

Hi John, thanks for asking me questions, keeps me on track;) I'd put it on the engine stand, pull the pan eventually, see what's out there to upgrade the engine, trying to keep within reason, I just got off the phone with Johnny (guy that has the engine) , he lives in Brownsville, but comes to Katy, Tx frequently. We talked about I would need his transmission as mine won't bolt up to the 6, and I have the A904 which will go with this 318. As for refreshing, if it has really good compression, main/rod bearings aren't down to nothing, just some factors to consider. The link you supplied~ thank you, great information;)
A couple links below of him demonstrating the running of the engine.

I get it. You will just make those determinations as it plays out. It would be cool if you two can work something out together.
I can't see the vids or link as I won't do a Facebook or Google account. Surprised I can still watch utube. I am surprised it has
not become a requirement to log in to see utube. I could see the short posted. I suppose I could my GF's log-in but am even
reluctant to do that.:D Missing the openness of the early internet when it was a freer territory. A badlands.:(

I'll be honest, I don't really have to say that, but I'm a little excited about this. IT'll be much "easier", I don't have to cut the firewall for the wiper motor for one. I could get by with non-power steering, but I'd really rather have it. I think the slant done nicely would be different than everyone else's V8, LS1's, Corvette engines, etc. Like, "Look, wow, another V8".

Well...you do have your other toys to consider. Going back to slant will eliminate a lot of headache and still be unique
in the modern age we live in. Vehicles only seen at car shows anymore. Still cool, IMHO.
By the way, I dislike seeing Chevy powered old Fords. Take a flathead any day. I just walk on by.

Funny, I was just reading through this .
I have a friend which has a 66 Dart and he's just full of information on the 6. He was suggesting if I go through with this swap, yes, clean it up, make it look really nice, install it and see how it goes. Though I'm excited about intake/exhaust manifolds, just adds more complications. However, I feel a better exhaust manifold would be a good thing vs the stock puny exhaust size.

As for the person with the 6, if we go through with this transaction, I wish I had left the 4 barrel manifold on my 318, that darned factory 2 barrel manifold has to weigh 60lbs!. I do want him to have a good experience, so I've been cleaning up the power steering pump and brackets, and the alternator bracket, etc. I'm wanting it to be an "easy" install for him without having to clean stuff or search for parts.
