Well I spent 4 days out of a weeks vacation wrenching on my heep. Mounted my winch on a new warn rockcrawler bumper complete with frame extensions and bow shackles. I had to drill four 1 inch holes in my frame rail for the extensions. OMFG, talk about a major PITA. First go I used my 14V Dewalt reversible. After about 5 minutes and 3 broken bits, , I went to sears, bought an air drill and cobalts. :D It still it took me over an hour to measure and drill four holes. :( I change all 4 shock boots and modified the front passenger bump stop because of rubbing. I also mounted and wired in 2 new KC slimline daylighters. Installed a new bikini top. This probally sounds like easy stuff for some of you guys but I'm mighty proud of myself. After buying this Jeep I decided to outfit my garage with tools and such. I have never owned major automotive tools and/or did any serious vehicle work other than changing my oil. I know this thread needs pics and I will take some tomorro. I( hurt all over and can't move my arms or walk with a straight back tonight.

Next time you have to drill large holes, start out small and step up. Should shorten the time and effort considerably. Good job on the jeep, but of course (UWOP)
