WTB 1967 Windshield Frame In Texas

Howdy all. Looking for a windshield frame for a 1967 CJ5.
Would hope you are in texas so its only a few hour drive maybe.
I am trying to avoid paying the price for the new not so great ones.

 

If you should plan a trip through TN let me know. I have a fairly decent 67 windshield I will be replacing on my 67 CJ5.

 

There is a salvage yard that has a few older Jeeps, I was planning on taking a look at them in the next few weeks. I will check and see what they have.

 

Would you care to share where this is located?

Have you tried 820 Jeep Parts s up here in Fort Worth area?

There is also a guy in Forney, TX stripping Jeeps and selling parts. I forget his name but search FB Marketplace for Jeep CJ and he comes up every time.

OldPappy I have sent a DM.
I have seen the fellow in Forney on Craigslist for old Jeep Pickups, it just didnt occur to me to ask about a CJ.
I think the one in Corpus is the wrong year but if someone can tell me that a 72-75 will fit a 67 I might take a ride.
I will call the others that are mentioned and see what they have to say.

 

1975 and earlier will fit a 67. 55-75 are the same dimensions. Actually a lot of people to include myself prefer the later frame as the glass is taller a provides greater visibility and uses the same hinge system. Unless you are looking to keep it stock and doing a resto you might want to consider opening up your year window. You should be able to find a good high vis original frame.

 

I am 6'1" and have no trouble seeing out of the windshield on my 67, but if I come across a good later frame I would get it to use the bottom mount electric wipers.
