    And blow up it will. It's not an if, only a when. Even using a really light right foot and NO traction device. Maybe my mistake was just airing down the tires. All that said, I nursed the D25 along for 3 decades before it's final self immolation. Perhaps fortunately, that was before I became addicted to front lockers.

    I too have a Willys Wagon front D25 that was powered by a sbc. Its definitely “when” as I found out. All it took was reversing out of a ditch, and BAM, there went the pinion gear. It was a 3.54 gear, but should have had a stronger set of teeth at that ratio.
