Knuckle Housing Wear

I’m probably using the wrong term, but there is wear at the end of my front axle housing where the axle tube joins the inner part of the steering knuckle. I believe Dana 30s have a thrust washer at this location, but no such animal in my 27 according to the parts book. I don’t think it is bad enough to buy a new housing, but I am interested in your collective thoughts. Thanks.

 

Were the snap rings on the ends of the axles out in the locking hubs? That's what holds them in place so they can't migrate inward on the D27.
