1970 Cj5 Brake Switches

Hello and thanks for taking time to read this.

Looking at the wiring schematic I found at this site, I see there there are listed (2) brake light pressure switches, what is the purpose of two?

It allows the brake lights to still work in the event of a single brake circuit failure. Most modern stuff has a mechanical switch on the pedal itself to accomplish the same thing.
