T18/dana 20 progress

Well I drove the Jeep the other night. This might not seem like a big deal to some, but it means that the tranny/tcase swap is nearly done. All I have left is the tcase shifter, the front dshaft, and the tranny hump cover. I should be able to get it all done this weekend. I learned alot. First, I should have fully inspected the tranny and tcase before I laid out the cash 'cause I wound up with a FSJ setup. This was not all bad because it turns out that so many of the parts are the same for a '74 cj t18 setup that it only caused a few problems so far. It turns out that length wise this setup is the same as a stock cj with a t18. Unfortunately I wound up with an FSJ tcase and shifter and the shifter has been badly molested. I might try to whip up a pseudo twin stick. I have some pics too. I will get those up asap.

Just driving the Jeep...is a big deal. I am hoping to get my transfer case installed this weekend so I can say that I drove mine.

Congrats on getting it back on the road. Would like to see some pics when you get a chance.
