    Hey guys,
I just got done installing my newly rebuilt(bought) Motorcraft 2100 along with the HEI and this thing is actually idling. Plus, it starts with just a blip of the key. What a difference :D

I am so stoked this actually helped. I was a bit concerned when the HEI didn't make enough of a difference, but when you have an old, totally untuned and in need of a rebuild carb, that really affects things as well. I haven't had it on the road yet, wedding plans, but I plan to get it out tomorrow night after work. I am totally impressed with it already.

If you are thinking about an HEI and carb swap, I say go for it. I thought I was in over my head, but with the help of you fellow Jeeper's, I actually have High5 running good.

Thanks for all the advice when I needed it. I will definitely keep coming back to this forum and posting when I can help others.

    Thanks again,

    High5

Are you running a manual or automatic choke? I'm running a manual and it's a little finicky.

I'm running an automatic choke. I'm still working the bugs out, timing, but it is hands down better so far. I am having a bit of trouble getting the timing right. Today it ran great around town, much better throttle response and no hesitation accelerating. I have tried the timing light, but the ear works better so far.
    Good luck,

    High5
