Have a chance to pick these up.
Cant quite tell from the pics, look to be aftermarket.
Seller just says "comes with lug nuts", I think they look to have shank/ washer style but?
    What say you?

Kinda looks like a tapered seat in the holes.

Those are NOT genuine Renegade slots.
I agree with the shank type lug nut interface.
Here is an example of the original slots.
Note the raised ring just outside the lug circle.

Aftermarket, but thats not to say anything bad about them. Ansen Sprints are a likely guess. The center holes look large enough to clear Warn hubs (4-1/2”).
Strange that the lug holes aren’t centered on either the slots or the spokes.

And the lug pattern isn't the same relationship to the slots...like whatever jig drilled the lug holes was independent of the slot pattern.

Like Donny said, those are Ansen's like I have on my Jeep; you need the correct lug nuts for them. The ones I have are 15" X 7", They have a thick center giving them a wider stance, making it 2" wider. You can find the Lug Nuts on Amazon, they need the flat washers on the lug nuts and a long shank to make them fit right. My Jeep is at my cabin so I can't measure the shank, but it is as long as the wheel center is thick, look like the lug nuts on a Dragster. The Ansen wheels are heavy duty, and heavy, guys in the old days ran them on Baja 500. Good luck.

Also note the raised rib (maybe 3/16 or 1/4 inch wide) around the outside circumference of the wheel. True renegade slots are smooth as you can see in the picture posted by dnb.

I will say that those wheels you are looking to purchase seem good. I like slots on most old jeeps. Just not on my green jeep. HD is good if you plan to wheel it but I wouldn't prefer aluminum for rocks. My little bit of OCD would not allow the odd alignment of the lug holes that was mentioned but that's just me.

Can you negotiate a price reduction without the fly? Bolt circle positioning aside, I would have no problem running those. Rock rash wouldn't care---------

They're prolly going to come home with me if I can get the seller to respond.
Need a spare for my '5 as all I have is a set of 4 OEM slots I'm running on it now.
Hate to break up a set, but I'll probably peddle the remaining 3 if I end up with them.

You'll need the Crager Style lug nuts with Center washers.

Those are for multi fit wheels....the holes are slotted to fit 5 on 4 1/2 Ford/Mopar pattern, or 5 on 4 3/4 GM pattern. The offset washers are what actually position the wheel.
I used to sell those when I worked at an old school speed shop back in the 80's.

I've used them on Weld wheels before, although the washer is centered on a wheel that is not a multi-fit and drilled for the application specific pattern.

I'm glad you guys know what you're doing. I've always used conical seat wheels and lugs. (y)
I never had faith in the other designs staying centered.

Sid, I would put a steel spare on your Jeep and sell the set you have as a set. Steel wheels are lighter as a spare. I had the road Rash welded up om my wheels, and metal finshed them[IMG]

Has anyone actually weighed the typical Jeep steel wheel and Jeep aluminum wheel to which we are talking? :confused:I wish I had done so when I had the chance. I see quoted comment here often.
I'm not referring to using a skinny steel wheel with an emergency spare either. Of course, that will be lighter.

Steel Versus Aluminum Wheels - The Dirt by 4WP (4wheelparts.com)

Paraphrased: In general, replacing steel 15-inch wheels with aluminum wheels of the same size will result in a weight savings of 3 to 4 pounds per wheel. Replacing 16-inch steel wheels with aluminum will typically save 5 pounds per wheel. Replacing 17-inch and 18-inch steel wheels with aluminum versions in the same size can result in a weight savings of up to 10 pounds per wheel.

    So, they're home.
They are in fact Appliance wheels, 15x7". SEMA cert stickers still on them. Shank style lug nuts with centered washers.
Oxidized but they'll clean up OK.
In reference to the comment above, CJ rims go for stupid money around here (IMO) for a rusted wheel that needs a complete rehab..
Still on the fence as to which way I'm going to go but at least now I have options.
