Axle ID

    I just wanted to find out if anyone can tell by these pics if this is the stock, run of the mill axle or something different for a '69 CJ5.

    looks like a flanged dana 44 to me. was stock on/about '69.

    It is the desirable flanged axle, dana 44. They came on 70, 71 models, if your 69 was made after late August it is actually a 70 model and that would be one reason its on your Jeep.

    30 spline shafts too, as opposed to the earlier tapered 19 spline shafts.
