I have a problem blowing fuses on the headlights when I turn the rheostat dimmer part of the headlight switch.
I know, I know must have a bad switch. Just what I thought, I replaced it with a brand new one. Still blows the headlight fuse.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Sounds like a shorted circiut for the dash lights,or the dome light depending on where the switch is (position) when the use blows. Use a multimeter and check continuity from the wires to ground. Should only have continuity on the ground wire.

There is no dome light. I am going to pull the dash this weekend and check all the instrument panel lights. Thanks

Took the dash off yesterday. Found a loose ground and also a short to ground. All fixed. No more blown fuses.
