    If stock, that should be an 1 1/4" shaft and 29 tooth. The 1 1/4" shaft started in the early 55 run. All that said, it is possible to run the earlier 26 tooth gear set with the later shaft and needle bearings instead of the caged rollers. There isn't much of an incentive to do that as the 26 tooth gear set has significantly weaker spur gear teeth profiles.

    Sorry for the ignorance but is the measurement capable from from this location? Between the flange and PTO housing or from the PTO drive shaft?
