Bonehead move on my part... First one on the CJ in a long time!
Trying to remove the shift knob on my T-14 to get the floor top cover off and I managed to sheer the shifter clean at the base of the knob.
No, I did not try penetrating oil or heat first and yes I did use a small strap wrench... hence the bonehead part.
Recommendations on how to correct this? Should I just purchase a used replacement?
    TIA!

I would just re-thread the tip of the cane if that's all that broke.
Choose replacement knob of your choice.

I would probably weld a bolt/threaded rod on the end.

Mine broke off about 25 years ago, just rethreaded it, no one would ever know.

X3. No one will ever notice its 1/2”-5/8” shorter. Run a die over the stub. You might have to grind/file a little, but the threads don’t need to be perfect.
