A friend of mine has Jeep in barn. Really...
It's a 1969 CJ5, 225 V6, 4.88's, Warn Overdrive, Warn Winch, 13k Orig. Miles, Original Yellow Paint, Rust free, Dent free, stored indoors entire life. Needs nothing, maybe leaf springs.

    What would this be worth??

As my friend Jon would say "Depends on how much the buyer us willing to pay".

Sounds like a nice jeep. No rust, 13K miles on a dauntless, functional OD, Winch.....would guess somewhere in the $5K range. Hows the top? (hard or soft). What part of the country?

We love pictures, so send 'em...sounds like a great jeep.

Not worth a whole lot with that Overdrive on it. Put some stamps on it and mail it to me, I will dispose of it for you :D

    Seriouslt though... What Jerry sez.

Also depends on the state. That is a $4k or $5k rig here in Michigan easy. In Cali and Phoenix, demand is high and you just don't find them for sale much. You would think somebody has them sitting behind houses rust free and collecting desert dust. Unfortunately, others have already figured out the rust free States.

Are you looking to buy from your friend or just helping him find a selling price?

    In that case, 'bout $100.

Seriously, I'd expect it to bring $4 to $5K as said above. I've seen guys try to get $6K for similar vintage/mileage original rigs, but it won't likely happen in the mid-atlantic region.

I'm guessing we are about in the same area. I paid $4800 for mine. 3 speed, flawless body and paint, zero rust, new brakes, springs, shocks, top etc, engine is immaculate and fires on the first bump. The only thing my jeep is missing is the overdrive that you have, which btw you don't need in northern California because of all the hills. It's just extra weight on the jeep anyway so why don't you box it up, give me your address, and I will come get it. :D

I'm always a bit scared of super low mileage cars. I'd rather see moderate use as I know things got ran and lubricated, etc. If the Jeep saw all 13K miles the first couple of years and now has sat for a couple decades you might be in for a bunch of work replacing dried out seals, etc.

I also paid $4800 for my 6, probably a bit on the high side but it was darn close to exactly what I was setting out to build from the ground up, and I knew I'd pay more than that to build it. It also had some stuff I knew I could sell off and regain a bit of that purchase price.

if you found the right buyer/collector here in iowa it would be worth $6K $8K. had a 65 or 67 here that had less than 20K mi on it absolutely spotless original everything incl. unused oem tool set and manuals red and black. he got it from a man in texas who towed it behind his land yacht. the auction went to $8600 then the seller wouldn't sell for that "low". he took it off the block.

fwiw i paid about $2600 final price for 69 out of tucson az. which is set up like yours except no winch. ( the po said the winch didn't work so he tossed it! i coulda fixed esp with all the help i get from this group oh well, someday.)

but i had to undo a lot of po mods. ;)

3500 4000 if it is running good Paint it and recover the seats and get it to looking like it came off the dealers lot, and you can put it out there for much more. Depends on how fast you want to sell it.
