    Hello,

Today I installed a new distributor (923068e), but it doesn't works. I removed the cap and found that "coil module" or what is it is damaged.
Do you know which other module will fit there?

If it is new, contact the seller and get a replacement part/unit or return it for another distributor.

Unfortunately, it is 6 months after warranty.

Does it have continuity? Aside from the damage by the rotor, it looks to me like it will still work. You should test it electrically with a multimeter for continuity.

I expect you will have to go to the original supplier for replacement parts. Possible this coil comes from another application, but I expect the seller will not tell you what that is - they will want you to buy parts from them.

Who was the seller? A reputable firm might make good on this part, even though it is out of warranty. You should demonstrate to them that it was defective and that caused the damage. Worth asking about...

We measuered it and seems to be damaged, it has not continuity. Someone had to put this damaged coil to this distributor from my point of view. I can't explain it any other way, because all of the other parts are ok, without scratches or other damage. I bought it from crown auto here in Czech. I took it to them and they said they'd take a look at it and let me know. But they said they were sorry and it was weird, but they understood it could have happened. They will tell me more on Thursday.

If they won't warranty it, might think about a Petronix unit if you still have the original dist......

I don't believe it is damaged. I have the same distributor and mine looks just like that (aside from the apparent pliers marks). That might be the trigger? The other part in the distributor with the wires attached to it is, I believe, the electronic part (which I have had a bad one right out of the box.

That is the problem, I got the car without distributor, so I had to buy a new one.

If you look at the top of the coil, you can see huge scratches like from some grinder or similar tool. Btw, we tried plug the spark plug directly to the ignition coil and it works, but when we connect a distributor, no spark appeared. We measured this pickup coil and there was no conectivity, so I think that is damaged. I have found that this pickup coil is same for a Japan cars, like Mitsubishi, Suzuki or Daewoo and Nissan forklifts.

I did notice the scratches, couldn't tell much about damage so maybe it's worse than I thought.

Unfortunately there is clearly visible copper from wiring.
