There is no BOP pattern 700r4. But you can get an adapter
An injected 4.3 with the 700r4/300 combo would be nice in a 6

Trying to adhere to the hour or so a day routine. Cup brush in the angle grinder knocked off any remaining loose stuff. Tapped all the holes and flushed everything with brake clean. Shake n shoot primer. Buick red tomorrow to match the engine.

 

Hub rebuild bust. Got these parts from TorqueKing only to find I have a stripped sliding gear
They are unobtainium, set of IH branded Warns in the bath now.
Transfer case rebuild stalled due to needing shims for the input bearing to get down to. 003 or less ( I'm at . 012)
Nothing worked this week, been down with a bad sinus infection to boot ( covid negative, wish it was I got over that faster)

I feel for you. I had bronchitis for a month before I finally went to the doctor and then it took a week to clear up.

 

Finally had enough time to get the 300 finished. There's a portion of reassembly when it would help if you were an octopus. Otherwise I'm pleased with it.
Shout out to Nickmil for the gear set ( mine were rusted beyond use and the intermediate is unobtainium) and the tech support. His tips made it easier.
Since this will get clocked up I'll order a Novak extended pan. Will try to get it mated up to the th350 soon. Time getting short need to get glass flatty serviced up for the 2024 season.

 

Installed the Novak pan ( over $30 less at BJ's with free shipping) and clocking ring. I'm going to pull the tub , too old to lay underneath and manhandle these. First unload all the junk in it..

 

Clocked down as far as it will go the front shaft will get by the pan. Will get just a little trimming but that's with the shaft held up and should be enough compression/ uptravel. Rear shaft will be 14ish inches, pinion will need tipped up and the appropriate joint installed.
I had a minor spasm when it wouldn't fully seat on the adapter .Calmed down , found one of the studs was too long and hit the transmission case. Whew..

 

Dontchya hate when yer new paint gets scuffed up before the jeep even sees the street let alone the trail.

But it looks great anyway and before you know it, your east coast jeep will be runnin for the hills.
