I need a rear bumper, But as you know everything is listed for 76 & up. Has any one put one of these newer bumpers on a Intermediate??? I'm thinkin (hopin) It wouldn't be to hard to do?? I'm looking at the Warrior rear bumper with the 2 inch reciever.

There is a great number of them on Ebay right now. I just looked, because like you, I want a reciever. I'm not sure about the putting a newer one on. Probably just need to drill holes and bolt on :?
    Hope this helped

I put the Currie rock crawler rear bumper and tire carrier on my '71, I couldn't use one of the brackets and had to drill and tap a couple new holes but it wasn't a big deal and it worked out just fine.

I think the frame rails, from about the front seats back, are somewhat farther apart beginning in '76. This may or may not impact installation of a later rear bumper onto an intermediate, depending on how it attaches. (i.e. attaches to just the crossmember, or attaches to the frame rails)

You are right, that's why I couldn't use one of the brackets that came with the currie bumper, it was for the inside of the frame rails (I guess the later models are boxed back there.) That's also why I had to drill a couple new holes in the bumper. It wasn't a big deal at all and the bumper is super solid and looks great.
