Does anyone use a gear oil pump to fill axles, tranny, xfercase? The squeeze bottle with a hose works but I would like to find a pump that will work well. Any recommendations?

You should be able to find a hand pump that screws onto the oil bottle. They have them for the qt. size, and for the gallon size. Parts stores should have that stuff.

I worked at a marina and we used the pump that came with the quarts of gear oil to fill lower units. The nozzle end has a set of barbs that hooks into the fill hole, They work good. If you have a marina nearby, you might want to check it out. They are not very expensive. I'm still using mine after 10 years. Good luck.

I use a pump on a gallon container of gear oil. Works good. It's a Sta-Lube pump that I picked up at nearby parts house.

Thanks for the leads.....I knew there had to be an easier...possibly cleaner way. I am sure that I will still get gear oil everywhere ;)

If you go to your local Oil distributor you can buy 35 lb (5 gallon) buckets of gear lube and a nice lever pump than fastens to the to. Alamite makes a good one. Most parts houses can probably get you both also. If you gave as many things that take geay oil as I do it is a worthwhile way to go. Gear oil is much cheaper in 35lb pails.

i can't take credit for this seeing as a buddy f mine came up with the idea..

he took an old water fire extinguisher...the kind that you just fill with water and pressurize with an air compressor....

instead he filled it with gear oil.

    no pumping....

    worked out pretty slick..
