OK so I am trying to figure out what era my FHead is.

The number on the top of the block by the water pump is 4J456607

The number on the side ( the casting #?) was 807895.

All the reference stuff I can find put that into the 53' - 54' range.

    Can anyone help ?

( i was told by the PO that the body is not original)

It does have the 3 speed manual, and dual stick transfer case.

    Thanks
    Chris

    per the FSM
"prior to 1967 all F4-134 engine codes were marked 4J plus the serial number"
that's all the help I can give
