I just order the Lux kit. I hope to be installing it in the next week or so.

Why do you think you need heavier? I don't see the benefit. I would suggest one of the stock replacements of the diaphragm type. There are also Borg&Beck (three arms) available, but they typically need more effort than the diaphragm clutches, with no improvement in clutch-i-ness.

Luk is good and popular. Sachs and Valeo are also good. The Perfection clutch kit on RockAuto should be ok too - that's the brand I put in my J20.

I'm sure the hot rod sellers like Jeggs or Summit have a Centerforce that will work ... for a considerable premium. And 30 minutes of leg press in traffic may not be your ideal.

Napa stuff is typically good quality, but not inexpensive. It's going to be a rebrand of some name brand, good chance one of the kits I listed above. You also get a store to take it back to if anything does not fit.

I've run a LUK kit in mine (bought from RA) for 6+ years with lots of tough wheeling etc and its seems very good...As I still run a T14 in mine, its not the best for wheeling tough trails without the granny 1st, and have to work and burn the clutch a bit more than would be ideal, but so far, no complaints on the LUK kit at all. I considered a centerforce set-up, but so far happy to have saved the money over the centerforce set-up. FWIW - I think centerforce is the only kit advertised as an 'upgrade' over stock replacement set-ups?

Depending on the application, flywheels are sometimes drilled for a larger diameter cover. All the AMCs (232,258,304,360,401) can accept a 10" or 11" diameter cover. Don't know about the 225 - possible. It shares a lot of dimensions with the V8s, and they likely take a larger diameter cover. It's also possible that the V8 components will work too, with a considerable increase in pedal pressure and clutch-i-ness.

If you have a clutch rebuilder near you, they can make whatever you want as a replacement. You could go to a B&B cover with heavier springs and get more pressure, premium friction material, etc.

The only true heavy duty clutch is the three finger type pressure plate (often called Bog Beck) with the extra coils.
These clutches can be extremely stiff to operate and IMHO are only good for plowing and skidding operations.
IMHO the ultimate clutch is the pre 1970 factory standard.
That is the Genuine OEM Borg Beck diaphragm design clutch with the Borg Beck driven disk.
These are smooth and there is a reason why Borg Beck name is still being used today even though the company is long gone.
In fact I just bought me a rebuilt spare genuine Borg Beck diaphragm clutch.

225 flywheel will only accept 10.5” clutches max.
But like Tim says you can go six nine up to twelve springs on a Borg Beck three finger pressure plate.
The Genuine Borg Beck three finger clutches were standard on Dauntless in 1970 and 1971.
IMHO the Centerforce clutches are only good for race cars. They are designed to lock in tight at high rpms.
