No, I’m taking about the inside edge of the flange between the new curved rear corner panel from
Classic and the original body: 439D3E0C-9415-4F7A-8C76-6E9D3B17B3D5.jpeg

Well my Classic patch panel fitment woes continue on into this weekend. Moved onto the rocker panel as I pressed pause on finishing up the curved corner panel to decide whether doing so would inhibit future Metal shaping/bondo. (Love some opinions on the matter if you check the last post in my Build thread..)

I cut out the rotten RH rocker metal, and when I dropped in the new panel the height is correct but it’s about 0.25” too short to line up right with the wheel arch.

in the interest of moving forward it seems like I’m going to have to cut it and splice in a strip to make the arch line up right. The question is - where to do this?

If you were me would you:

    1. re-bend the front fold over
    2. Cut it vertically and seam it at the toolbox junction
    3. Cut it at the back and re-shape the wheelhouse arch? D37687CD-9A01-4958-8E9E-AF5724E41F3C.jpeg A17D28EF-C763-477F-93D8-2AA8B7EFC94D.jpeg 44512CC2-C0F1-408E-8549-D4BD0AC96136.jpeg
Edit - hopefully the answer was 1 because that is what I did and it worked pretty good!!

Got a question for all of you folks that are good with a hammer and dolly.

I know I have to dot-planish-dot-planish…..move along this whole rocker seam.

It’s just tacked in place now and I was looking at it yesterday evening the seam seems to be the high spot because of how the old body was rotted out.

Does it make sense to try to smack the seam down with a pointed hammer before I stitch the seam?
