I've got a late ('79 ish) CJ5 LHD which needs extensive renovation work to the body tub.
I'm just wondering while I'm at it, could I possibly manage to convert the firewall to RHD spec ?
I've got a '78 CJ7 tub that I'll be cutting up shortly (also pretty well rotted out), which is RHD.
I'm wondering if some of the panels would swap to the CJ5 tub ?
Possibly a great deal of work, but there's a couple of months of welding there anyway.

Yeah, I've got all the relavant hardware off the RHD CJ7, including the axle and all the rods.
I've noted that when the CJ7 was launched around 1976, the CJ5 also got a makeover, with a new chassis, rear mounted fuel tank etc.
I'm just wondering if the CJ5 body tub got some of the CJ7 pressings too.
I guess I'd need to ask someone who actually built the body tubs back in the '70's at the factory
