1967 Kasier CJ5. F134. All stock. New coil, voltage regulator, points, condenser, rotor button, cap, and wires. Engine starts and runs. Coil is getting very hot. From what I am reading there is no ballast resistor on this model. Please help.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Coils can get pretty darn hot under normal use. Is it too hot to touch for more than a few seconds?

No ballast resistor but then the "new coil" may need to be the internal resistor type. ???
