I have the floors welded into my 61. I'm looking at my classic enterprises floor supports, and they have two bolt holes on each. My frame has 2 body mounts welded to the passenger side and 1 on the driver side. I looked at another frame of the same vintage and its the same story. How do I locate where to weld the k supports with 1 mount on the driver side? I was going to bolt them to the frame, lower the body over it, line it up, then outline the supports on the underside of the floor. Without a rear mount on the driver side m plan is shot. How do you do it right?

I mounted the new floor support channels to the old floor. I then welded the channels together into a full support channel. I then cut out the old floors and welded new ones in. I then placed the new floor support channel frame to the new floors. All the body mounts lined up.

I put the tub on the frame. Straightened it up well then slid the supports between. Lined up the mounting holes then tacked it in.

The other Drivers side body mount is on the frame where it goes up over the axel, on an angle, inside the wheel housing. I put another body mount on the frame across from the one on the passenger side, it will be under the gas tank, so you have got to shim the gas tank up a little so it does not rest on the bolt head. I used carriage bolts to mount the body so I only had to shim the tank up about a quarter inch. I used 2 furring strips to raise my tank a quarter inch, it does not affect the filler neck going through the body, and lets you blow sand and dirt out from under the tank. Good Luck.
