    Hey guys,
I just got my HEI distributor in the mail. It is a GM distributor with the 258 gear already mounted. I have the rotor and cap, but no coil. Any suggestions on what coil I should get. I'm assuming that I want as many volts as I can get, but we all know what happens when you ***(outa) u(and) me. :D I also need wires and plugs. What have you guys had the best luck with??? I have heard that plug wires for a 6 banger Ford Fairmont fit good, but I still need suggestions.
    Thanks

as far as the wires go, i got the universal make your own kind from msd. you cut tot he length you want and put the ends on. it made it real easy to make everything look real clean. i use bosche platnum plugs but IMHO any plug will be fine. i did not have to run a coil with my HEI, but MSD's Blaster coil is awsome

A stock coil will run .045 gaped plugs up to 5000RPM's without problems. If you feel you need an aftermarket coil, any of the big names will work. Erik, your coil is in the cap.
