Side Steps...the Real Deal..fb Only $50

Hey all....I know these are sometimes hard to find. Local to me. If anyone is interested in a set. Saw them on FB Marketplace.

Unfortunately..... although OEM is better, You can buy them brandie new, painted, for around 62 bucks

 

Like my brother tells me Never throw anything away. Sometime i will learn to listen.

 

Just hope someone who is looking for the real ones (not repros) grabs them. I was lucky my jeep still had them. Although one of them took me a lot of time and a hammer to "fix". Still not perfect but as straight as I can get it. Maybe I'll go snag these if no one gets them in a few weeks. I'm hoping the jeep gods will shine down on me for passing these steps on to someone, and in return pass along to me a White Witco top . Your brother was wise. I wish I saved so many things on past jeeps!

 

I asked the person if they still had them, I wanted to buy them but they didn’t respond back.

 

how much would it cost to ship them? if it's a reasonable amount. i might take them, but i don't have to have them.

 

For someone your age, I expect you don't want or need them. They were routinely removed because they get destroyed on any Jeep that's taken on mild or better trails. Something of a trailer queen or mall crawler item IMO.

 

i'd just like to have a step, especially as i'm not the only one in this jeep. it does seem like a bad idea to have them hanging so low. pavement princess item fer sher.

 

Chris do you have a picture of how these steps mount?

 

I can get a picture tomorrow. I have a pair for my CJ-6, with the driver's side installed, and I need the driver's side to get in when the top is on.

 

Six bolts two in the frame. Four in the tub. Two rear in the tub are capture nuts in the support. Two front in the tub are through bolts near the drain.

 

Oh nice, I asked the seller if she could ship them to me, local pick up only! Sucks for me!

 

Maybe the OP could pick them up and ship them to you. He seems willing to help. Not trying to volunteer someone else's services but, that's how I took his message.

 

Yeah...sorry been distracted last few days. Yep I can grab them for folks. Its only 20min drive or so.
